Care Instructions

Valgy Jewellery is made from sterling silver, 24 carat Italian rose and yellow gold plate, and natural gemstones.

Keep jewellery away from all liquids, especially perfumes, moisturisers and hairsprays. Contact with liquids will impact the brilliance of natural gemstones, and wear down the plating on plated pieces faster than normal.

We recommend removing jewellery before sleep, and when exercising, swimming or showering. Apply cosmetics such as perfumes and moisturisers in advance of putting on your jewellery, allowing the products to sink in prior.

To clean sterling silver pieces we recommend using a silver polishing cloth.

To clean plated pieces gently clean using a soft, dry and 100% cotton or microfibre cloth.

Do not use a silver polishing cloth on plated jewellery as this can strip the gold plating off the jewellery.

Plated jewellery will tarnish and fade overtime. This is not a fault of the jewellery, but rather a characteristic of all plated jewellery. Overtime your plated jewellery will take on an antique finish. You can re-plate your jewellery with a third-party company if you wish. Our plated pieces have a sterling silver base. If you choose not to re-plate, you will eventually be left with a solid sterling silver piece.

Store jewellery in a dry and dark place.
